South Florida Private Aviation Market Explosive Growth
Just about every day now we’re hearing about another aviation company opening a satellite office in South Florida. Let’s explore why there is South Florida private aviation market explosive growth.
First off, it’s well known that there are more private jet takeoffs and landings in Florida than anywhere else in the U.S. And the majority of those are South Florida.
More specifically:
NetJets has a large facility at PBI so that accounts for a fair amount of traffic. OPF is the go-to for many Miami private jet missions. And now BCT is the up and comer, due to faster takeoff times as compared to FXE.
It is not unusual to see a private jet land every 10 minutes between 7:30 PM and 9:30 PM on a weekday at BCT.
But that is just a part of the story. The big push is now hybrid charter companies on the move. We’re talking about Part 135 operators with managed aircraft. This is a big growth area as the cost of private jet ownership skyrockets.
In their recent upcoming series on the State of the Industry, the Aircraft Guys have been talking to hundreds of private jet owners and operators. What they are seeing over the recent weeks is a seismic shift in private aviation charter customers’ behavior.
Some of these new South Florida operators have learned a few tricks. We must admit, we did teach some of them. We have been doing this for a long time. That is why our name is Aviation Marketing Experts.
And speaking of the Aircraft Guys, many of our free weekly newsletter subscribers are now starting to receive emails about limited private events that are being planned. If you get one of the invitations, you may want to jump on it as soon as possible before they run out.
